This solutions main objective is to simplify the onboard shopping experience with a self-service payment solution for Passengers. The desired passenger experience augments the existing flow. Passengers can browse the catalogue on the seatback monitor and place the desired items into a shopping basket. At this point, with the new Payment Solution integrated, Passengers will be able to pair their personal smartphone device with the seatback monitor, and transfer the contents of the basket to the passenger app. Within the comfort and safety of the personal device, connected to the onboard Wi-Fi system, the Passenger can proceed to checkout of the shopping cart contents and close the transaction with a secure credit card or alternative payment (Airline miles, Apple Pay, Android Pay, other).
